WhatsApp is already starting to test new features, that will be available in future for any user having the AppStore version.
In the precedent versions, you could start a group call just after a normal call, that was very annoying (start a normal call, after the response of the recipient you needed to add the other contacts in the call): thanks to these new improvements, you can directly start a real group call easily, choosing between the voice or video mode!
The 2.18.110 update will be available in the next weeks on the App Store, bringing some improvements.
- The new UI improvements for Group callsare available for the 2.18.110.17 IOS beta.
- They are not available for Android yet. They will be available in future.

- If you experience any bug, you should report it directly to WhatsApp. Open WhatsApp Settings > Help > Contact Us and type a short description of the bug (including some screenshots if necessary).

Since today, WhatsApp is rolling out the new UI improvements for the Group callsfeature, for any IOS user having the beta version installed.
Thanks to these improvements, you will see a new Group call button in your group chats, that’s the best way to check if the feature is already available for you:

When tapped, WhatsApp will present in a sheet a list of all possible participants you can start a call with.
Note that, un this list, only participants in your address book will be visible:

Seen that only 4 participants can be in a group call, you can only select 3 participants.
