Root Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070

Galaxy S Advance has been updated to Android 4.1.2 and now you can learn how to successfully root the stock firmware using this guide. Read the entire post and you will easily complete all actions, which will then allow you to install new Custom ROMs and other customization elements. If you can’t complete the tutorial, then you should ask for more help in our comments field.
In order to make sure that you correctly root your phone, you will first have to read the guidelines below. It will teach you how to configure the device so that you won’t lose any important data in the process.

Here’s what you need to know:
  • This is a guide for advanced Android users and you should only use it for the Samsung Galaxy S Advanced model number I9070. Do not attempt to use this tutorial on any other devices.
  • Root only the Galaxy S Advance that runs on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware.
  • Your device should be factory unlocked and your computer should have the Samsung USB drivers installed on it.
  • Enable USB Debugging option on your smartphone. It can be found in the Android Developer Options menu.
  • Charge the phone’s battery until the power level is over 50%. It will prevent the device from powering off.
  • Don’t blame us if you lose important data in the process. Also, we cannot be held responsible if you lose any data. That is why this guide should be applied by advanced android users.
  • Rooting your device will void its warranty.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Important Note: This Root method is only recommended on JellyBean Build of Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070. So don’t try the method described here on any other builds of Galaxy S Advance.
  1. Download the Root Files (ROOT)   and  ( CWM Recovery and place it in the root of your SD card
    Note: SD card is must for this process.
  2. Boot into stock recovery mode. For this:
    • Power off your phone first and wait for 6-7 seconds after display is off.
    • Press and hold  ’Volume Up + Home + Power’ buttons together and release them as soon as you see the Galaxy S Advance logo on your phone’s screen.
    • Your phone will boot into recovery mode.
      └ Use Volume buttons to navigate Up and Down between options and use Power button to select an option in recovery.
  3. Select Install Update from External Storage option from the recovery menu.
  4. Now select the root.zip that you have placed in the SD card and Select Yes in the next screen to confirm your action.
  5. After the flashing process completes, Reboot your device.
