Huawei P10 will be
officially revealed in less than a week, and thanks to the many leaks
that flooded the internet in the last few months, we already know quite a
lot of things about the flagship.
However, this is the first time that we obtained pictures of the Huawei P10
from an official source. Just like every other handset maker, Huawei
has asked for FCC's (Federal Communications Commission) approval, but
when it did that, it also included a couple of P10 pictures among the
necessary documentation.
The pictures published on FCC's official website (via AusDroid) show the front and back sides of the Huawei P10, as well as the innards of the phone. Also, the phone is framed between two rulers, which can give us an idea of Huawei P10's exact size.
We're certain that this is the Huawei P10 and not
the P10 Plus because the phone in the image sports a flat display.
According to the latest rumors, Huawei P10 Plus will boast a 5.5-inch
curved-edge display, while the regular Huawei P10 version is supposed to
feature a smaller 5.2-inch flat display.
It's also worth mentioning that while Huawei
maintained the same form factor and design language that debuted with
the P9 model, the new P10 won't feature a fingerprint sensor on the back
side.
Instead, Huawei has decided to hide the fingerprint
scanner underneath the Home physical button on the front side, below the
display. Although the pictures show the phone's back side has been
removed, this hasn't been done through mundane means.
Huawei P10 will be a compact phone that will not
allow users to remove the back cover and pull out the battery. However,
the P10 shown in the images might not have been assembled for testing
purposes.
Other than that, we're happy to find out that Huawei
hasn't dropped the 3.5mm audio jack, and that the USB Type-C port is
still there.
The Huawei P10, as well as the P10 Plus, will be officially announced on February 26, but they aren't going to be launched on the market until March.
