Huawei P8: a final version for Marshmallow (B317) for download

After a few weeks of beta testing, a final version of Marshmallow for Huawei P8 is available for download.



This is the B317 version, which introduced EMUI 4.0 and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. All files are available at this address, you can manually install this version with the same method as the Honor 7, but we recommend that you wait for the last OTA update is expected soon.If you are interested to know what's new in Android 6.0 Marshmallow you will find a guide here, while news EMUI 4.0 are listed on the forum.

How to Update

To install this OTA, your device already needs to be running the C432B200 firmware onboard.

1. Download the OTA Zip package from the link provided above and make sure it’s named as ‘update.zip’.
2. Copy ‘update.zip’ to your phone’s external microSD card inside a folder named ‘dload’ (you can create one).
3. After that, disconnect the USB cable and open the Updater app.
4. Tap menu > Local update, choose the update.zip package and flash it.
5. Your P8 will automatically reboot into its recovery and flash the new update.

Remember, it’s a beta, so it is up to you to back up your important stuff somewhere safe to avoid data loss in any unforseen circumstances.
