With Honor Holly 2 Plus, the company aims to go head-to-head with smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy 5 The Lenovo Vibe P1m and even the Lenovo K3 Note. While the majority of its features were borrowed from Honor 5X, the company has made cuts in several areas of the device to achieve the Rs. 8,499 price point. The Honor Holly 2 More sports a polycarbonate body with a removable back panel texture. Battery, however, remains incorporated inside the handset. Once the panel is removed, the dual Micro-SIM slot and microSD card slot can be seen. With its compact body, the smartphone is perfect for users with an average hand size. All four corners of the screen can be reached with one finger and one-hand typing is also possible. At the rear, there is a main camera with a single LED flash. The power and volume buttons are on the right. The gate of the speaker is at the bottom, and this may cause a thud when holding the smartphone horizontally for watching videos.

The display is nothing pathbreaking, and is similar to what other companies offer the same price. The Honor Holly 2 Plus has 5-inch HD (720 × 1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of about 293 ppi. For most users the HD resolution is perfectly fine, as content always look sharp and text readable. The screen is vibrant and reproduces colors impressively.

In our memory with the device, the Honor Holly 2 Plus showed no sign of lag when switching between applications. However, it has a little hiccup when we tried multitasking with a big racing game. Holly More 2 packs of 64-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek integrated MT6735P SoC with Mali-T720 graphics and 2GB of RAM LPDDR3. We will launch the smartphone through our full testing process to see how it fares in different situations, so stay tuned for our full review. The EMUI LITE 3.1 skin on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop is simple and should be easy for users to get used to.

The specifications of the device are a bit disappointing for a Rs. 8,499 smartphone. The Honor Holly 2 Plus has a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with what the company calls a 3rd Generation Omni Vision, BSI sensor, f2.0 aperture and LED flash, and a 5 megapixel front camera. We were not really happy with the photos we have taken with the main unit, particularly those taken in artificial light and in low-light environments. In both cases, the camera tends to raise the ISO level to the resulting images grainy. INTERFACE The user's camera app is simple and easy to use. It includes features such as watermark, Panorama, HDR Audio Note, with several photographic filters. Options such as Touching the Capture Timer, Capture Smiles, GPS location and more are also available. The front camera has given equally grainy images.

The Honor Holly 2 Plus has 16 GB of storage, from which users will get around 9.4 GB for applications and media. However, there is always the option to pop in a microSD card up to 128 go more space. 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity are also standard. This phone will be available in Black, Grey and Gold. It has a 4000mAh battery rated to deliver up to 48 hours of continuous use. The company also said its 3.0 Smart Power mode can give you 30% more of battery life allows the phone up to 20 hours, with the load of up to 10 percent. Holly 2 Plus also features reverse charging, so you can use the battery to charge other devices via the Micro-USB port. We will confirm the battery life and every other aspect of this phone's performance when we run it through our rigorous review process. Stay tuned.
